Key features
Intuitive, Elegant User Interface
The radio uses the proven Icom interface, which guarantees simple and quick operation even in difficult conditions. Equipped with a convenient selection knob and a laser-cut keypad with white LCD backlighting, it fits perfectly into modern yacht cockpits .
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
The built-in ANC system significantly improves communication clarity. This technology eliminates up to 90% of noise from the received signal and up to 30% of interference during transmission.
Public Address and Foghorn
The built-in 10 W amplifier allows you to connect an external speaker. This enables the device to function as an on-board public address (PA) system for broadcasting announcements and automatically transmitting fog signals.
Built-in Class D DSC
The built-in DSC watch function monitors Ch. 70 (DSC channel) activity, even while you are receiving another channel. DSC functions include: distress, individual, group, all ships, urgency, safety, position request/report, polling request and DSC test calls.
Built-in GPS Receiver
The built-in GPS receiver shows your current position, date/time and can be used for DSC calls. The GPS data source is selectable from internal and external GPS.
AIS Target Call
When connected to the optional MA-510TR/MA-500TR Class B AIS transponder, the AIS target call function allows you to make an individual DSC call without having to manually input an MMSI number.
