Description

Pre-Charge Cable

The pre-charge cable is used to safely equalise the voltage at the input of devices with high capacitance - pre-charging takes very little time for smaller installations (e.g. MultiPlus-II 48/5000 - less than one second) and longer for larger systems; if necessary, parallel cables can be used for larger systems.

LED Indicators

The cable is equipped with two LED indicators showing the operating status.

Red LED

Indicates incorrect polarity connection (reversed poles). In such a case, disconnect the wires and reconnect them in the correct manner.

Yellow LED

Lights up during the pre-charging process. When the LED turns off, it indicates that the capacitor charging is complete and the system is ready for full connection of the battery.

Installation guide

1. Connect the negative (-) battery cable to the device.

2. Do not connect the positive (+) cable yet.

3. Connect the pre-charge cable between the positive battery terminal and the positive input of the device (inverter, charger or MPPT).

4. Wait until the yellow LED turns off - the pre-charging process is complete.

5. Disconnect the pre-charge cable and immediately connect the proper positive battery cable.

Important information

After the charging is complete, the cable still draws a small current, so it should be disconnected.
In large systems, the pre-charging current can reach up to 0.5 A.
Always remove the cable after the process is complete to avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
