In this model, the BatteryLife function is implemented via a virtual load output. For proper operation, a VE.Direct TX cable is required along with port configuration in the VictronConnect app, which allows for intelligent control of an external relay.

Frequently Asked Questions

The main difference is the communication method. SmartSolar models have a built-in Bluetooth module that allows direct connection to a smartphone. BlueSolar series does not have built-in Bluetooth, making it cheaper and more secure in applications where wireless connectivity is not desired.

Yes, it is possible, even though the BlueSolar series does not have a built-in Bluetooth module. To connect to the smartphone app, you need to purchase and connect a small VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle. Alternatively, configuration can be done using a computer with a VE.Direct to USB cable.

The difference is only in the way solar cables (PV) are connected. All technical parameters of both versions are identical.

Tr version (Terminals): Equipped with solid screw terminals. Allows insertion of insulated wires of any length, which is convenient for non-standard installations.
MC4 version: Has built-in MC4 connectors. Allows quick and safe plug-and-play installation if panels already have built-in connectors.

VE.Can is a professional communication bus that allows for the synchronization of multiple controllers. Thanks to it, you can connect up to 25 devices together, which will exchange data and charge batteries as one coherent system. Additionally, VE.Can simplifies monitoring – just one network cable (RJ45) is needed to connect the entire group of controllers to the GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX), instead of running separate cables to each one.

BlueSolar MPPT controllers are compatible with virtually all types of batteries, including lead-acid, gel, AGM and lithium (LiFePO4). Charging parameters can be precisely adjusted to a specific battery bank using the VictronConnect app (requires interface).
