The main difference is the communication method. SmartSolar models have a built-in Bluetooth module that allows direct connection to a smartphone. BlueSolar series does not have built-in Bluetooth, making it cheaper and more secure in applications where wireless connectivity is not desired.

Yes, it is possible, even though the BlueSolar series does not have a built-in Bluetooth module. To connect to the smartphone app, you need to purchase and connect a small VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle. Alternatively, configuration can be done using a computer with a VE.Direct to USB cable.

The first number (e.g. 100) indicates the maximum open circuit voltage (Voc) of the solar panels that the regulator can accept - in this case, 100 V. The second number (e.g. 30) is the maximum charging current of the battery, which is 30 amperes. Remember never to exceed the input voltage, taking into account that panel voltage increases in cold weather.

No. Only smaller models (from 75/10 to 100/20) have physical load output terminals. For larger units (from 100/30 upwards), this function is implemented virtually - the controller can manage an external relay or BatteryProtect device via a TX cable connected to the VE.Direct port.
