AC•THOR device

3 kW Immersion Heater

The 3 kW immersion heater from my-PV is designed to work with the AC•THOR and SOL•THOR photovoltaic power managers. It can be installed in domestic hot water and buffer tanks.

Thanks to its infinitely variable power control, the device precisely uses surplus energy from the PV system and efficiently converts it into heat. Its special design ensures a low thermal load on the heating element, contributing to a longer service life.

The 3 kW model was developed for use with AC•THOR and SOL•THOR systems. In off-grid installations, SOL•THOR can transfer the full output of the photovoltaic modules to the heater, enabling efficient water heating.

Linear Control with SOL•THOR

The 3 kW my-PV immersion heater works with AC•THOR, AC•THOR 9s and the SOL•THOR DC controller, which requires direct wiring to the heating element. The temperature is set using a rotary knob, while the integrated safety limiter protects against overheating; a thermostat-free version is available for temperatures above 90°C.
