Smart Battery Sense
Intelligent battery sensor
SmartBattery Sense is an unassuming wireless device, mounted directly on the battery. It allows for reading the battery's temperature and voltage and transmitting these results wirelessly to Victron Energy Smart Solar charge controllers.
Every Victron Energy charge controller has a built-in thermometer to measure ambient temperature. However, the battery's temperature is unknown and only Smart Battery Sense can transmit this information to it.
Thanks to this, the controller will appropriately react if the battery reaches too high or too low temperatures caused by external conditions.
